The Area Substance Abuse Council (ASAC) is one of the largest and most comprehensive substance abuse prevention and treatment agencies in Iowa. We have been in operation since 1962 and serve the five counties of Linn, Benton, Jones, Jackson and Clinton. At ASAC, we utilize a “whole person” approach to substance abuse treatment. We take into consideration a person’s entire life circumstances and personal needs. ASAC encourages the involvement of family and significant others during a client’s treatment and recovery.
