Pre & Postnatal Care Services

Prenatal Care Management

A registered nurse counselor will provide workshops on proper nutrition and diet during your pregnancy as well as maintaining a healthy exercise regimen. The workshops will answer all questions about pregnancy and issues related.

Childbirth Classes

Classes that prepare the expectant mother and her labor coach for the birth process using various techniques of relaxation and breathing. Both natural and Cesarean births will be thoroughly explained and discussed.

Bringing Baby Home

This workshop will prepare mom’s for their baby’s arrival at home. Topics will cover nursery preparation, layette planning, bathing the baby, feeding the baby, guidelines to pediatrician selection and basic baby care.

Breastfeeding

We want to help you to meet the Healthy People 2010 goal of increasing duration rates by showing mothers how they can continue breastfeeding after returning to work.

Breastfeeding is a crucial part of your baby’s development, and yes we know that breastfeeding can also be difficult. This workshop will address all the difficulties and rewards of breastfeeding, and provide useful techniques and information to make the process easier.

Moms Come First: Postpartum Care

This class will focus on the mom and what she needs to do to recover. It will cover time management, nutrition and diet, quick naps and ways to seek help.

Moms Support Group

Whether you are a couple or a single parent, meeting your own needs as well as your child’s needs, helps the family to be in harmony and everyone grows. This positive program helps educators teach single parents , and couples how to best care for their children while also caring for themselves using proven parenting strategies.

New Mom and Baby Group

Here’s the perfect excuse to get out of the house, socialize and learn about your baby! Our Mom and Baby group features a series of six weekly meetings that offer you an opportunity to share with other new moms while our professional staff help explore some of the most common issues that new parents face: feeding, sleeping, baby massage, developing routines and coping strategies, choosing child care, soothing the fussy baby and much more.

Pregnancy Massage

This special time in your life brings its own unique joys. And some aches and pains you may never have experienced before. Have no worries, you’re in good hands with our licensed massage therapist. Especially trained for this service, Susan will settle you into a safe, secure and restful position. While incorporating special body cushions, she will gently ease away all of the stress and strain in your body .

Yoga Therapy – Loren Krizmanich

Loren has been practicing yoga for eighteen years and is currently an E-RYT200/RYT500 through Yoga Alliance with a specialty in Yoga Therapy. She has completed over 1000 training hours, since her first training in 2004. Loren has trained with Marianne Wells, Libba Harmon, Shiva Rea, Jose Luis Cabezas, and Lisa Aniello, and has practiced with various teachers in various styles all over the world. She holds specialty certifications in Energetic Flow Pre-Natal Yoga and Yoga Trance Dance. Loren will complete her first 500 hours of Ayurveda training and become an Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultant in November 2015, and continue her training in 2016 to become a Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner.

Loren is also a DONA trained Doula, Certified Sacred Pregnancy Instructor, Certified Baby Spinner, trained Emergency Medical Technician and Certified Permaculture Designer. She is an active member of Yoga Alliance, the International Association of Yoga Therapists and Doulas of North America. Loren attempts to transmit the message of true yoga to reduce stress and promote healing. She educates her students on and off the mat in hopes of helping them to create physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually sustainable and healthy lives.

Baby Blues: Pre and Postpartum Depression Counseling

Mothers-to-be as well as new mothers can experience the baby blues as well as depression. Counseling sessions are provided to women suffering from depression and/or anxiety in an effort to relieve the stresses and frustrations associated with motherhood.

Career Counseling
Our team of MBA professionals will work with women and young girls seeking jobs by providing resume building techniques, cover letter writing, conducting mock interviews, basic “webinar” training and job growth and development counseling.
