REflections Photography

General information

I started in photography when I was in high school. Honestly, I thought it would be an easy class, an easy A. This was a time before digital. I was also immersed in desktop publishing and was exposed to the new program introduced by Adobe, which was Photoshop! We didn't use it much for photography editing at that time. No, it was more for graphic design purposes, but it gave me a start in editing. After high school I purchased my first SLR camera, a film rebel and proceeded to take nature shots, and then as time went on, pictures of my children. As the digital revolution grew, I admit, I resisted it. I loved my little rebel and didn't want to switch. It could not take a bad picture. I loved the "wait and see" of developing film. But, as times change so we must, and my poor little rebel's film door eventually broke and I had to make a decision on having it repaired or upgrading. I bought a point and shoot sony for quick kid and family pictures and that was it....digital was it for me from then on out. I was then gifted the latest DSLR on the market, a T1i and I used the heck out of it. From there I grew my passion, upgrading lenses, traveling, and taking pictures out of the moon roof of the truck. Never did I think of making a business out of it. This was a hobby, a way to make memories last so I could REflect on them later...However, as my love for my "hobby" grew, I decided to upgrade my camera and editing equipment. Thanks to some encouragement from some very special photographer friends I decided to take the next step and provide a way for others to REflect through the images I capture for them.
