FixIt Connect L.L.C. (FixIt) is 100% free and is the ultimate in low cost service. This is because contractors do not pay us a commission per job nor do they pay us for a better rating. FixIt offers the most competitive pricing environment possible by creating the connection where contractors can submit competitive estimates for your work. Here at FixIt we realize that pricing is just as important as quality. Therefore, each contractor’s profile page offers them the opportunity to list and provide proof of their relevant licenses and credentials, whether they are bonded or insured, and other relevant information. FixIt also displays “consumer reviews” on a contractor’s profile page that rate a contractor’s past connections. FixIt connects you to a quality contractor via the following two options:

Post Job

FixIt “Post Job” option is quick and easy to use. Post a job in seconds and you are instantly connected to contractors in your area who will submit competitive estimates on your job, simply:

1. Write a basic description of your job in the text field,

2. add your zip and email below,

3. post some pics of your job,

4. then hit “Post” and you're connected!

Contractors can leave messages, when they submit estimates, for more job details, it is up to you on whether you want to update the job on the edit job page to possibly gain a more accurate estimate.

Contractors can also suggest that your job be an “On-site” job, see below. There are many reasons they may suggest this and it is up to you on whether you want to switch to the “On-site” model.

On-site

If you are not sure how to describe what needs to be fixed OR, if you just want contractors to work around YOUR schedule and give a cost estimate in person, get connected and schedule an On-site estimate. To schedule an On-site:

1. Repeat steps 1-3 from the “Post Job” option above,

2. click “On-site”, and

3. then below, enter when contractors can connect with you on YOUR schedule!

Keywords

If you post a job with common FixIt words—such as, toilet, air conditioning, appliance, etc.—, then suggestions will populate that will help contractors submit an estimate on your job. Keywords are optional, but may be vital for connecting you to a more accurate estimate.

Add Details

Having trouble connecting with contractors? At any time after adding a job on FixIt you may add more details to help you better connect with contractors in your area. When logged in navigate to the Job View page, go to any of your recently posted jobs and press the Edit Job button to add more details.

Contractors: Looking For Work?

Fixit offers quick and easy access to connect with consumers, and it is totally free for contractors to use. On the Search Job page, you can find jobs based on a number of relevant search criteria: word search, categories or keywords, and zip code where you can extend your search up to 200 miles from a zip code.

Estimate Only Job

One way to connect with consumers is by submitting competitive estimates on their jobs, which the estimates will remain anonymous except to the consumers. When posting an estimate give the most accurate total estimate it will take to fix the problem based upon the consumer’s job post. If you feel like there is something that would change your estimate or that you would like to know to provide a more accurate estimate, send the consumer a message on the estimate page requesting more details. Or if you feel that the job needs to be assessed in person, FixIt gives you the option to suggest the consumer change the job to the On-site model. Connect with more consumers and win more estimates by enhancing your profile page. Consumers, when selecting estimates, will be looking at the contractor’s experience, credentials, and any relevant licenses as well as your ratings and reviews.

If your estimate wins, you will be connected with the consumer via an email alerting you of the now available consumer contact information. To ensure that you have the best reviews and ratings we highly recommend that once the consumer contact information is released to you that you reach out and connect with the consumer as soon as possible to perform the work.

On-site

Get connected in person! Under On-site, the consumer creates a time when contractors can come to the job site, meet the consumer, and submit an estimate on the job. When you register for an On-site reservation the consumer has the option to view your profile page to determine if they want you to come out, assess, and estimate the job.

Once your reservation is approved by the consumer, FixIt will connect you to the consumer via an email alerting you of the now available consumer contact information, as well as provide the job site address. Remember that consumers can rate you based only off of your conduct when assessing a job. To ensure that you have the best reviews and ratings we highly recommend that you attend your reservation and act in a professional manner.
