The Agency for Cooperation and Research in Development is one of the largest and oldest Africa-led non-profit organisations determined to defend and promote social justice and people-centred development, based on human rights and relying upon locally rooted citizen movements. We do not speak or act on behalf of Africans who have been denied their rights; we secure the space for them to be heard.

ACORD has been working since 1976 for social justice and development in 17 African countries together with over 2,000 local and international partners.
