General information

GHD | Graham Hanson Design collaborates with a wide range of clients, from start-up companies and large corporations to museums and other cultural organizations. GHD is well known in the commercial and residential real estate development community and works frequently with some of the world’s best-known architectural firms.

Since its inception, it has been involved in a variety of strategic brand development, print collateral and interactive media projects for American Express, Saks Fifth Avenue and Dun & Bradstreet.

Its current work for museums and other cultural organizations includes projects for Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and Carnegie Hall in New York. In 2004, GHD was awarded a four-year commission by UNESCO and the Kuwaiti Government to develop the identity, and create an environmental design, exhibition and wayfinding masterplan for the Kuwait National Museum campus in Kuwait City. The agency also developed exhibition graphics for the Museum of Arts and Design, The Jewish Museum, and the American Institute of Architects in New York and the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, DC.

Over the past several years the agency has collaborated with Macklowe Properties, a well-known New York real estate developer, to create a highly visible and distinctive visual language for a wide range of commercial and residential properties in New York City. GHD also works for developers throughout the United States, including extensive work in the Washington, DC area.
